Tyler W. Burton, Ph.D.

Directly managing and/or consulting to onshore, offshore and marine safety/environmental operations on the front range of and in western Colorado, in the Gulf of Mexico, on the North Slope of Alaska and the Beaufort Sea, in the Bering Sea and Cook Inlet Alaska, at the US Antarctic South Pole, Palmer and McMurdo Stations, at the US Summit Camp on the Greenland ice cap, in the UK and Dutch operating sectors of the North Sea, and in the Canadian arctic from Tuktoyaktuk to Cape Dyer. To the Angelina Group, Tyler brings knowledge and expertise based in over 25 years of capital project management, petroleum, environmental and drilling engineering, performance consulting, and project economic, financial and systems analysis.

With a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alaska and a Post-graduate Diploma in Exploration and Development Planning and Economics from Oxford University (UK), Tyler also holds a Masters Certificate in Technology Project Management from the George Washington University, an Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Sciences (MSc) degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Alaska, a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Petroleum Law and Policy from the University of Dundee (UK), and a Doctorate (PhD) in Corporate and International Agency Climate Policy Coordination from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee (UK).

Dr. Burton is recently a Research Fellow at the CEPMLP, and is a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI), a Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) with the Knowledge management Institute (KMI) and as a Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) with the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE).

Currently, when not managing within the Angelina Group Dr. Burton is the president of the Two Rivers Capital Asset Group, a real estate and technology-integration firm actively developing historic buildings into low-carbon emitting and energy efficient commercial and residential properties.
